took my pup out for his very first hunt ever (7 months old)... he did awesome!!! didn't do too bad at all!! Retrieved all 3 birds! shoulda killed a few more but having a group of 15+ buzz the dekes while my pup was in the middle of a retrieve so had to pass em up...other than that! One proud daddy!!! lol Made me feel awesome when I sent him after his first bird....heres a pic of him and his 3 blue wings

o yea!! for only being 7 months old and full of pup i really figured that he would of been a major pain in the butt...but he actually did really good! he deff got excited once he saw the teal and then the gun shots following!

Your dog has GIANT paws for 7 months.  Holy crap.  My pup is 9, just about 10 months old so we'll see how she does, but I think she's about grown out for height.  Can't remember her weight right now, but I think it's a tad under 60lbs.  I'd rather her be a smaller lab though because I live in a townhouse.

Congratulations! He's a good looking pup and if you're happy with his performance this early just keep working with him and you should have many great hunts to come.
