Glad you posted the clarification - wasn't sure if the firewall at work was blocking the photo like it does for most sharing sites (photobucket).

We don't have any birds here either. Some ringnecks coming through like they always do, but I refuse to shoot at em anymore. Still waiting patiently for the fat Canadian mallards to come through...

I think you will be waiting for a bit yet there nelson lol We haven't even gotten all the northern mallards yet. It's about a 65/35 mix of locals:northeners yet...It will be well worth it though, this year is the best year in the record books for the mallard hatch...Ever.

We had a lot of birds on youth season the week before. Mostly small ducks (woodies, teal, widgeon) but most shagged ass during the little cold wet spell we had during the week. We even saw a few mallards, gadwalls & pintails, but nothing to be had this weekend.

we have been doing ok here in oregon.  not many migrators yet.   I did see that some scaup showed up and very very very few surf scoter.

I like shooting the surf scoter the best and our scaup season doesn't open until weekend after next.

we managed 12 ducks this weekend, and one goose, hunting in madison county, il.  ducks are few and far between but they are around.  All mallards and gadwall.  Hopefully this cold front will push some more birds in.
