We had a thread started for new member introductions, but we thought it might be more appropriate to set up a forum section solely for that purpose.
So, if you're new here and have made your way to the forums... please post up a new topic with who you are, where you're from and what you're all about!
I am new to the sight. I have never joined any kind of sight but when I came across this one I really enjoyed it, so I signed up. I am a dedicated waterfowler from the U.P. Michigan. I hunt geese and ducks as often as i can, rain or shine. I am also a call maker (part time) and have made some pretty nice calls although I always end up giving them away (never sold one). I hope to have a good time meeting all of you on this site and hopefully I can help someone along the way.
I am fairly new to this site, and I would like to thank Shawn for making a cool place for waterfowlers to get together. I am definitely a quack addict born and raised in ND. If you ever want to talk about ducks and geese I am around.
WaterfowlReaper welcome! Glad to have another upper mid-westerner/Great lakes waterfowler here to talk to. Lets slaughter honkers and have fun while doing it. Get out here and hunt Lac geese with MaxxedOut Guides and have the time of your life. We'll scout our asses off to give you the hunt you want. I hear MI is awesome for honkers. We kill more geese per hunter than any state in the union so get here and kill geese
I'm fairly new so I'll introduce myself a little. My name is Wesley. I'm 20, turning 21 soon. I am from central Missouri. I am completely addicted to waterfowl hunting. I also love all other kinds of hunting from squirrel and rabbit to deer and turkey and everything in between. I love just about anything outdoors really. I really enjoy paddlefish snagging in early spring as well. I'm married to a wonderful woman who is also a member here but doesn't get on much. That's pretty much it.

I'm also fairly new, I've been a part of the Nation for about 2 months or so. WATERFOWL IS MY LIFE!!!! Duck hunting has kept me out of trouble my whole life and has taught me a lot about life. As many of you who saw my photo in the contest read, I lost my brother and dad andf three other friends in an accident coming back from a hunt where we killed 10 limits in 30 minutes. We served poppers at the funeral. That should give you a little insight into this home. I really do enjoy the sight and look forward to becoming a prostaffer next time that roles around. I'm currently on field staff for BlackOps Duck Calls, and Avery. I shoot an 870 Wingmaster with a Mod. barrell, (I'll never own another gun!) I blow Cutdown Olts ( BlackOps DFB) and Echo's.

Welcome to the site. I am sorry for your loses. This site is a great place to keep up on every thing in the off season. Lots of knowlage from all over the country so please feel free to as any thing.
I'm new to the site and from Arkansas. I try to duck hunt everyday that I can stray away from work. This year I got my boss into duck hunting so I got off a lot more than years past. I've been duck hunting religiously for about 5 years now, with about 5 really good buddies. Trained my first lab this past year and hunted her this last season. For not going to school and just training her myself I think 384 retrieves is alright. Look forward to learning a lot from the guys on here and helping out who I can.

Welcome to the fourms and glad to hear about your pup. keep on working her as training is never done!
Hello, found this site just the other day and decided to register. I am from SC. Have been chasing waterfowl for the past 25 or so years.
Have really been chasing divers for this past season. Hunted divers and sea ducks in Maryland back in the late 80's did not hunt them anymore for years. Mostly puddle ducks up to 3 years ago. Went down to Georgetown,SC and got into some bluebills and it set me a fire. All I thought about were divers. My work schedule kept me from returning last year but I made the trip this year and pretty had good sucess. Have been looking at alot of reviews on decoys and can't really decided on which brand to purchase. I have accumulated a world of puddle duck decoys over the years and need several dozen diver decoys for the future if anyone hunts divers and could give me a heads up on a good durable brand of decoy it would be appreciated. I want to stay away from GHG because of the paint chipping issue they are having.

Welcome Bryant! I got into diver hunting this year as well. It's a blast! Not sure about decoys. I'm looking for some as well. I've heard good stuff about Hardcore brand decoys but I'm not sure if they make divers or not.

Hey everyone. Name is Jordan and I just joined this site. I am from Saskatchewan, Canada. Right in the thick of things, I have been a waterfowler since I was 15, ever since one random day by dad told me he had signed me up for a hunter's saftey class, and I have been hooked ever since. Deer? Pfff ill pass, a good hunter takes 1 shot and there tag's are filled and season over. I am a regular over at saskatchewanhunts.ca, but I have been looking for a dedicated waterfowl board and im glad I found this one. Im guessing most of your are americans? lol. Im still searching around the forums but once I find the appropriate topic I will post some of my "Credentials" of last season.
Hey everybody, My name is chris and I just found the site. Liked what I saw so i signed up to be part of the family. I am 24 turning 25 Friday. I am married to a beauiful woman and have a lil boy on the way in August. I am from Northwest Alabama and do roll with the Tide!!! Love college football, deer hunting, fishing, golf, and anything outdoors but my passion is waterfowling. And guess I'm here the same reason you are... I am addicted to Quack!!!!
Hello My name is Roger and I live in NE Kansas. I have been waterfowl hunting for quite sometime now and I enjoy it very much . I just found this site today and loooked around and so i joined. I am looking forward to interacting with everyone about waterfowl hunting and the like .
my name is clyde. I came to this forum because everyone on the duckhuntingchat forum is a crybaby. I got kicked off for making a multiple account on the same IP. I had my friend do it and they don't allow two accounts for one IP. I was also suspended for "personal attacks" you can't stick up for yourself over there.
I am having a hard time trying to figure out how this forum works. I tried to click on the cinnamon teal thread in the puddle duck forum and it says access denied or something like that. help would be appreciated.
about me. I hate goose hunting. I will shoot them if they fly by but that's about it. I like shooting divers the best. I Love a good sea duck hunt. I hunt the columbia river and northern oregon coast mostly......
Hey Clyde - these forums are a little bit different from the traditional type we're all used to. To be honest, I'm still learning the features.
For youtube videos, click on the blue <> icon (third row down, left of the smiley face) in the post reply window, you should be able to paste the traditional embed code there and have it show up.
We're looking to make things a bit easier with the release we have coming up in July.
You'll also find some topics do not work, these were due to the old site we were running and not everything transferring over properly. Slowly working on getting all those little glitches corrected too.

It makes it so large that it is almost obnoxious
The size is determined by the youtube embed code, here's an example of the same video using regular embed code rather than the full screen flag - which I believe is what is making your videos so large.. I'll have to look more into this one and let you know for sure.

Began hunting waterfowl in 1986, found out that I swim like an anvil...
Switched to goose hunting 1986, preferably in cut corn fields. Initially had a Remington 870 Special Purpose, which my wife bought me and I still have...
Switched to Remington SP-10 1990, sold SP-10 2010, bought new Benelli SBE II 2010. I have had most of my hunting experiences distilled into about three sentences.
1. DO NOT drink a thermos full of coffee on top of the "Enchilada Special" you ate the night before. You will be hunting for a spot to make a large deposit, and I don't mean with a bank. Your hunting buddies will also be spared the "42 story elevator ride into the very bowels of Hell".
2. If you do not heed #1 above, make sure your toilet paper roll is encased in a weatherproof ziplock bag. Guaranteed that your "deposit" will need to be made on a day that it rains or snows, or both. That is NOT the time to be disappointed with your choice of Charmin. (Trust me on this one)
3. Your efforts in the field will be rewarded. Sometimes we don't know how, but they will.

Names Gordon. Came across this site from shnelson's youtube vid of his C&S call and I kept pokin around his other videos, lol. I used to go sit in the duck blind with my dad and uncle when I was little because I could see the ducks better (farther off) than they could. My mom preferred pheasant over duck, so we've been chasing upland since before I started shooting while hunting. Last year I picked up my dad's old duck boat for fishing and come fall I figured "I have the boat, might as well go chase some ducks". Borrowed my dad's 20+ year old decoys, plopped down in a spot, and was INSTANTLY addicted when those first ducks skimmed the decoys while we were still setting up (got out a little late). After that, the three flocks that dropped in just sealed the deal. I tell you one thing, going from shooting birds that explode from your feet and fly straight away is WAY different than trying to hit a bird swooping by. Didn't drop a single one that day, lol. Didn't matter, the bug had bitten. Fast forward one year and my girlfriend has said that I can't buy anymore "duck buoys" :)
Hello to all new members! Glad you could make it. Take some time to explore the site and feel free to ask myself, or any other of your fellow pro staffers any questions you might have!

New to the site. Live in Central Kansas where the waterfowling is unbelievable and the Whitetails are giant. I am so hard core waterfowl that I need therapy....Just ask my wife. It's currently 104' degrees outside and all I can think about is 33' degrees, overcast, spitting snow with a NW wind bringing in flights of greenheads.
New to the site and seems easier to navigate and folks communicate more than duckhuntingchat. Love to hunt deer, turkey and upland game, but waterfowl is my greatest passion. Retired from the military and still live near Ft Campbell, KY so most my hunting takes place in Kentucky/Tennesse area. Hunt out of my large boat, out of my layout boats, off the shore in hasty or layout blinds, or anyway it takes to be where the birds are and get shots at them. Prefer to hunt with my dog just because he's as crazy about it as I am. Sometimes I'll even take my wife or daughter, or both. About the only thing that prevents me from hunting all season is if I have to travel for my current job, and then, maybe. Depends on where they send me and if its season there.
yep Clyde is right about duckhunting chat. that site blows, guys try to talk down to ya and when you call them out, watch out. I am on a few other forums and jump back and forth.
Guess Im a little late on this one. I am Marcus from Cedntral PA. I am a Pro Staffer for Chad Belding and Banded Calls. I love waterfowl hunting and everything that goes along with it. I am employed as a emergency responce Hazardous Materials Specialist. (I go play with and clean up stuff that can kill you). Just got married this June to my best friend and hunting partner. I also have one daughter-Sage who is a 3 y/o yellow lab, that is a wonderful retriever but still needs some fine tuning!!!
I'm Philip from Oregon, I'm still new to the world of waterfowling but am learning fast. I hunt public land in northwest Oregon. I hope too learn tips and tricks from you all and I'll share too.
Hi! First post, hope I don't mess it up. I'm not very literate but I try. I live in the swamps and hunt. We just got computers and they are fun. Found this place when I typed fowl. Please be patient all I know is killing ducks and geese!

Hey, im somewhat new to the site. My name is Jeremy, and absolutely live and breath waterfowl!!! I live in South Dakota, and thats where i do 90% of my hunting and fishing!!! I really enjoy the site, its nice to interact with other waterfowlers all over!
I am new to the site, but enjoy it already, I love to shot anything with feather, but ducks are my passion. I hunt in SW Arkansas and NE Texas, at least 30+ days a season, and lucky to get out that much with a son and a daughter so heavily involved on sports, My son is 11 and I have created a monster when it comes to duck hunting, I feel my daughter will be just like him in a couple of years when she starts going!
I am new on this site about two weeks now. I am from Southern Minnesota. I love to hunt Ducks and Geese as much as I can. I came up on this Forum from another one I am on. I do like all the stuff on this one. very informative. Can't wait to read more in the future.
my names bradley! my buddy lance who just introduced me to duck hunting this year showed me the site. hes a prostaff member and i just have to say im officially addicted to duck hunting! its my first year but im pumped for next year! im from Louisiana! actually right across the river from phil robertson and all the other duck commanders
Hows it going everyone? my name is Ben and I live and do all my waterfowl hunting in Montana, I live just inside the Pacific fly zone in the rocky mountains. my hunting seasons aren't always epic, but its not for a lack of trying. I have a hell of a good time getting out with my two best buddys trying like hell to bring those birds down. I am a big river hunter, and starting next year we got ourselves a new boat (getting it blinded up now), so that should change things, if nothing else make things more interesting.
I have hunted NE Montana and am hoping to get back out there this year or next, it is amazing how many species you'll see on that side of the central flyway compared to back here. Still trying to make it out to the pacific flyway too!
hello everyone! im new to the site nice to see that there are this many of us! im also new to the central new york area near rochester. Anyone looking for an extra weekend warrior for the late season and spring snow season?
