Delta Waterfowl, GK Calls, Duck Junkies, and a few more that I can't recall for the effort they put in for the kids at the Waterfowl Festival in Bay City, Michigan this past weekend. They had a call seminar for the kids and handed out free duck calls to all the kids and showed them how to blow them. Then GK Calls had another seminar for the kids where they gave the kids a bag with a barrel, insert, cork, and reed to show the kids how to put the call together and then how to use it, all free for the kids. These guys are why I'm proud to call myself a diehard waterfowler. So a big thanks to all of them, my kids enjoyed it and blew the calls all the way home.

The more kids the better and the more organizations and manufactures that do this the better off we are as waterfowlers and may the kids get as much enjoyment from this sport as we do.I join you in a tip of the cap to all who contributed to your festival and also to the people who brought the kids.

I wasn't able to make it to the festival, but I read the listing of all the activities and kids events and thought it sounded incredible.  I know I would have loved it when I was a kid.  Heck, I'd do it now too. lol.  It's great to see so many people and groups volunteering like that.

That's awesome. Anything to get the kids involved is great in my book, and I tip my hat to anybody willing to help get kids involved in hunting and other outdoor things.
